Job purpose

Responsible for simulation activities (based on Finite-Element Analyses) on brake systems within Hitachi Astemo BRBU.

Area of Accountabilities & Key Activities

Perform simulation activities for Research & Development

  • Simulation activities of all types to support Platform Development for the development of new products.
  • Improve existing simulation methods & tools, and development of new ones.
  • Set-up simulation standards and guidelines.
  • Develop simulation expertise fields (core competencies).

Steer and support simulation activities for Engineering Services

  • Train and support Engineering Services’ simulation teams.
  • Realize specific, non-standard, and/or complex simulation activities for Global Customer Line
  • Coordinate and follow simulation activities performed by Engineering Services’ simulation teams
  • Participate to internal project meetings, and external meetings with customer

Key Professional Competencies

  • Excellent theoretical knowledges in the field of mechanical engineering and especially stress/strain analyses, mechanical vibrations, non-linear analyses, thermomechanical analyses
  • Strong interest for technical studies and simulation
  • Good practical knowledges of Abaqus, Catia
  • Fluent English level

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering school with a specialization in mechanical structural analyses
  • Concrete experiences in the field of finite-element analyses
