Summary:
The Assistant Site Manager provides support the Site Manager in promoting a positive relationship with HPES’s Vendors and Subcontractors by resolving technical issues. This individual would coordinate installation progress control as well as scheduling for the department. The Assistant Site Manager is responsible for ensuring that site activities are performed in a safe and clean environment, in accordance with site safety manuals / procedures and applicable laws / regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Site Manager and Technical Supervisor in resolving construction issues
Coordinates site meetings, defines agendas, and prepares minutes
Reviews schedules, procedures, and safety reports prepared by the Subcontractor
Accountable for setting the Safety Standard on the Project. This Assistant Site Manager must lead by example and establish productivity monitoring procedures and/or processes to assure quality of work on a progressive basis.
Liaise with the Owner and Government officials as it pertains to the project.
Provide knowledge of local means and methods
Provide knowledge of heavy equipment installation
Be responsible for the communications with the representatives of the Trade Labor Unions on and off site.
Skills and Qualifications:
We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. The role will be a mixture of remote-hybrid work with days in the Madison, Wisconsin area.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and background:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
Minimum of 10 years experience in the direction of construction site activities
Experience in medical construction is preferable
Must have all the qualifications required by law to perform work related to medical construction in Wisconsin and Florida.
It is essential for this Assistant Site Manager to have an active Florida General Contractors License (Required)
Knowledge of local means and methods
Knowledge of heavy equipment installation
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Experience with Microsoft Projects (preferable)
Ability to perform other duties as assigned or directed.
