R&D Engineer – Frontend Developer in HVDC Digital R&D

Description

We are looking for a Frontend Developer that will help pave the way for our digital platforms.

Our R&D engineers and scientists develop breakthrough technologies that change the way the world works, and industries do business. We constantly push the limits of convention, while retaining our focus on delivering quality products and solutions to our customers.

You will be working in an agile team setup in a Global Environment, with colleagues in Poland that is cooperating with teams in India and Sweden. You will report to the local department but also to the Global R&D functions for digital solutions in HVDC.

The team is working in an agile way where all team members are expected to contribute with their knowledge and experiences to achieve the common goals for the development of the products. This means that the team is doing breakdown of activities together, collaborate within the team as well as seeking collaboration with other relevant teams in (and sometimes outside) the HVDC organization.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain our client applications.
• Working with large scale applications.
• Working closely with UX to improve end user experience.
• Confident in most of the concepts listed here: https://roadmap.sh/frontend.
• Willingness to increase knowledge in the team and take lead in frontend.
• Working in a cross-disciplinary team using the Agile development methodology.
• Sharing your knowledge and experience with other team members.
• Participating in Frontend forums and contributing to ideas and innovations.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or an equal field of study, with 5+ years of experience and fluent English.
• HTML & CSS, JSX, Redux.
• GIT, Node + npm.
• Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals & ES6+.
• Understanding in C# & .net 6.
• Have a good eye for design.
• Beneficial: Understanding on IoT platforms/services, IoT communication (MQTT, Modbus, IEC61850, CAN, WCF, OPC UA).
