In our R&D department in Milan, we are currently looking for a skilled and motivated engineer to join our team of R&D specialists. Are you interested in developing the next generation of high power charging in the field of e-Mobility, such as eBus, eTrucks, flash-charging and large EV depots/terminals? Are you passionate about working in close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and the company’s global R&D team drawing on your demonstrable communication skills? General responsibilities

  • Contribute to R&D projects from the initial concept stage to the product validation
  • Lead the build-up capabilities across the R&D to ensure successful product design and delivery
  • Coordinate with cross-functional team
  • Responsible to communicate progress of features to all project stakeholders
  • Define the contents of the team backlog and support the team with backlog priorities.

Detaille responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall electrical system
  • Write technical specifications for internal/external suppliers and design validation plans
  • Accountable for system design
  • Competitors benchmark and cost evaluation
  • Audit, assessment of external partners
  • Contribute to lab testing, official type tests certification, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, commissioning, end-user training at a domestic and international level
  • Support customer project tendering and execution activities

Your background

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience in the areas of Power Electronics and Control
  • Familiar working with IEC/UL standards and certification agencies
  • Industrial experience with low voltage power converters
  • Experience with low voltage and medium voltage network distribution
  • Experience working in an Agile development team
  • Prior experience in EV charging and associated standards will be an advantage
  • Experience with DC network & Energy Storage Systems will be an advantage
  • Team spirit with the capacity to work independently, complemented by a quick intellect and well-developed analytical skills
  • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
