Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Eco Design Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia - IT

Accountabilities

  • Ability on the use of the eco design requirement management with DOORS;
  • Management of eco design documentation including LCA, social LCA, environmental product declaration, recyclability factor and carbon management.
  • Collaborate with the sub-project groups (internal and external) and ensure the development of the assigned project part;
  • Be the referent for internal and / or external resources involved in the eco design project team and will be responsible for coordinating the whole team.
  • Knowledge of circular economy and business sustainability.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • Experience to perform the aforementioned tasks as described in section above
  • Master of Science or technical degree required in Mechanical;
  • Minimum 1 year working in railway vehicles projects in an engineering role as eco design engineer.
  • Availability for short domestic and overseas trips.

Desired Skills/ Knowledge

  • Knowledge on ISO 14040 and 14044
  • Knowledge on EU directive regarding the chemist substances (REACH, ROS, SCIP)

Education / Qualifications
 

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering


Languages

Knowledge of written and spoken English at least B2 level
