Mission Statement:
Drive a successful service sales strategy in the Grid Automation Asia Pacific Hub and achieve profitable qualitative and quantitative targets for life cycle management, service products and solutions. Analyze service market potential, with full focus on installed base (IB) penetration and ensure customer relationship management. Lead and develop the Service Sales team to exceed the sales targets through high performance that leads to exceptional customer satisfaction results.
Your responsibilities:
Create, plan, and implement service sales strategy by increasing the installed base (IB) penetration, effectively utilizing ServIS (the approved Service database). Promotes value-added service product offerings supporting Life Cycle Management (LCM).
Drive and achieve service sales volume by ensuring the team sells the entire service portfolio at the expected GM% and participate in negotiations of major contracts to secure service sales volume. Ensure achievement of service sales targets, providing cost-effective solutions to the customers and initiating improvement plans including Advanced Services and Retrofits.
In collaboration with the Service sales team, the incumbent will be involved in generating and identify service sales leads by analyzing the IB potential and targeting those new IB opportunities from emerging trends with the Service solutions available, determine account and acquisition plans to support growth.
Establish long-term customer relationships with key customers, decision-makers by understanding the requirements, regulations, exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products and ensure customer satisfaction issues are registered and responded to by the team.
Support the team by participating in sales activities when needed, responsible for feedback on sales development, distribution of resources for service sales activities and the current status of the market, collaborate with Business Units and account teams to position different service offerings, evaluate and share relevant information on installed base data, sales leads, customer’s, competitor’s solutions and marketing trends with the team.
Act as a marketer/salesperson of Hitachi Energy’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings) and translate the needs of customers into relevant Hitachi Energy Service offerings and solutions. Contribute to risk assessments related to price and quality, register required information into the appropriate customer database, ensure technical reliability, safety, cost-effective solutions to satisfy customer’s needs and complies with health and safety directives.
Drive sales efficiency by ensuring adequate selling skills for service sales team members and that the area of responsibility is properly organized and staffed, coach the team in formulating sales plans, in negotiating, in developing customer segment expertise and actively demonstrate one Hitachi Energy approach and guide direct and indirect subordinates.
Frequent business travelling within the APAC region is expected

Your background:
University degree in Engineering/Trade qualifications like Electrical or equivalent from a reputable university.
More than 5 years of experience in Electrical Manufacturing or Power Industry in similar capacity of APAC sales
Experience across Electrical Industry within construction, Utilities, Power Generation or Power Systems projects an advantage.
Background in Quality standard compliance, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Awareness of power system technology. Advanced computer skills across MS Office, MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
Expresses opinions, able to work with multiple stakeholders and positions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail.
Note : Primary location for this role will be in Malaysia . However should there be suitable candidate from other listed locations is successful in their application, the position will be based in the respective successful candidate home country .
