General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Project Lead Engineer. This role is responsible for managing the full engineering scope throughout the lifecycle of these projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead all engineering activities, both in-house and outsourced, during the proposal, design, and construction of Power Quality Solutions (FACTS). Projects Support proposal efforts by introducing and promoting innovation, cost saving ideas, and value-added solutions to the overall system design concept.

  • Act as primary technical interface with all project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and local Hitachi Energy Units.

  • Ensure that all activities are efficiently and cost-effectively executed according to contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

  • Manage and lead the project engineering team to successfully execute projects with adherence to the project schedule, cost, and contract.

  • Evaluation of sub-suppliers and selection as per project requirement

  • Involved in development and supporting activities for continuous process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.

  • Some-knowledge of FACTS or HV substation solutions.

  • Any project management certification is preferred.

  • Bilingual French and English

  • Professional Engineering License
