As part of Transformers global HR team, the BU global Competence manager will play a key role ensuring we have the right capabilities in place to drive business strategy and success, in a context of significant growth.
Key responsibilities will be to:
- Design, deliver and implement the BU Competence’s development strategy.
- Partner with BU Functions heads and BU Training teams to develop capabilities within the BU: technical, functional, leadership and behavioral. Connect Competence development to relevant training.

Main accountabilities:

. Work closely with all BU Functions to review and design the jobs and relevant competences to ensure the best performance of employee and organization in alignment with HE global programs.

. Implement competency management processes and models, using proven methodology, to support the business requirement in collaboration with Functions responsible teams.

. Support BU Functions heads in definition and rollout of specific competence matrix for overall BU. Support in implementing Skills management approach.

. Measure competence required per function vs current status and defines roll-out plans to close competence gaps in conjunction with Function heads and training managers.

. Define KPIs to measure competence built-up in the BU/HUBs, identify gaps and propose actions to close.

. Promote and communicate across the BU HR team and the organization the programs and follow up on implementation.

. Partner closely with BU Training team to create a holistic approach linking the competences and skills gaps with relevant training.

. Design and support the business to implement clear career development paths.

. Update and implement Job Catalogue including Job Descriptions for all roles in BU.

. Establish a standard approach for assessor assessment and development. Plan with relevant teams to implement relevant trainings to develop assessors.

. Engage other functions for the design and implementation of a holistic BU induction program.

. Define the leadership capabilities required by role and provide content to BU training managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in human resources management, organizational behavior or business-related field and a minimum 10 years of Human Resource experience or related business experience
  • Masters’ degree an added advantage
  • Experience and demonstrated accomplishments in competence and skills management across various functions, ideally in manufacturing environment or technology environment.
  • Experience in a global, multinational matrix environment
  • Strong track record in change management, organizational and competence development as well as capability building.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, data driven decision making.
  • Fluency in English
  • As a global position, other flexible locations could be considered, with flexibility to travel to our factories and offices.
