Senior Exports Logistics Specialist

This benchmark is intended for incumbents who have responsibility for more than one Specialization within the Sub-family. An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate for this position should have experience in the logistics industry preferably export logistics. (Knowledge of EXIM is advantageous)
• Work closely with Order handling Engineer for monthly dispatch plans and work accordingly.
• Coordination with factory stores and packing dept.to collect shipment packing details etc. and communicate the same to freight forwarders to arrange vehicle for pick up and book the vessel/flight accordingly.
• To coordinate and arrange the best spot rates from freight forwarders-based shipment requirements for export of consignment to customer.
• Rate agreement with freight forwarders with the help of TMC/ Internal approval authority for freight cost etc.
• Ensure optimized container stuffing and organize dispatch accordingly.
• Creation of delivery note, Invoice, E-way bill and necessary export documents with the help of GBS to ensure seamless export activity.
• Should be responsible to track the shipment dispatched till it reaches to customer site/Port of that country as per agreed timelines.
• Prepare and publish master tracker of all the shipments dispatched and planned for future.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transport, trade and logistics is essential.

Qualifications:

• BE /Graduate in Logistics/MBA
• 5 to 6 years experience needed
• Knowledge of end to end export Process including documentation requirements.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations necessary for exports
• Should be well versed with export under advance licence / FTA process
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Working knowledge of SAP
• Well versed with MS Office
• Strong Follow up and expediting skills
