We are looking for a technically skilled salesperson with business development mindset to be part of our European Sales team. In this role, you would need to have an understanding of the full potential of our technology and the trends in our European markets. Your goal is to help customers all over the Europe improve efficiency, optimize resources and reduce emissions. This gives our work a powerful sense of purpose.

At Hitachi Energy, our Grid Edge Solutions business includes a cutting-edge portfolio of solutions for the battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids and renewable automation markets. You will be working closely with the Grid Edge Solutions Sales and Product Management teams, you will use your knowledge and experience to build long-standing customer relationships, develop innovative offerings and help Hitachi Energy to deliver effective solutions for customer needs in Europe. 

Your responsibilities 

  • Help customers to find the best possible technical energy storage solution for their needs.
  • Have a constant dialogue with Product Management team and advice the factory with development plan required to be done for each country, on short, medium and long term to ensure the continuity of the business growth.
  • Focus on early engagement on pre-sales of energy storage products and solutions with consultants, integrators, EPCs and end customers.
  • Drive sustainable growth for energy storage products and solutions business and achieve the annual order budget expectation cooperating with local sales units in the EU forging strong relationships with clients.
  • Leading and successfully concluding contract negotiations.
  • Work as part of the European Sales Team and support team on technical sales.
  • Securing continuous pipeline growth in the Grid Edge Solutions market with Sales. 
  • Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service and knowledge of customer needs.
  • Identifying and developing new market opportunities in collaboration with the wider team.
  • Monitoring customer and market trends to develop effective marketing activities and technology development.

Your background 

  • An engineering degree in a related field (preferably electrical, electronic or computer science).
  • More than 2 years of experience in Engineering / Commissioning of system projects.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in system and solution sales in the area of electrification, renewables and energy storage markets.
  • Fluency in English and one or more of the European main languages are mandatory; Other languages like Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish will be an advantage.
  • Current permit to work inside the European Union.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • Availability to travel to visit customers, mostly in the European Union.
  • Location is flexible.
