Product Owner: Enterprise Asset Management

Mission Statement:

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Product Owner to assist with developing the next generation of mission-critical, enterprise software for current and new markets. A Product Owner is responsible for documenting, refining and articulating product requirements to their assigned Scrum teams. Working closely with other members of the global, distributed Product Ownership group, they will be responsible for completing epics, prepared by the Release Planning group, to support product releases for Lumada EAM - a large, complex piece of enterprise asset management software. This role will require collaborating with the PMO, Product Management, Quality, and Security internal groups as part of the process of delivering releases. 

Your Responsibilities:

• Complete epics and user stories for assigned teams.

• Coordinate priorities, timing and order of development in a release.

• Help capture the outcomes of Architecture and UX Reviews and translate them into Acceptance Criteria.

• Collaborate with UX Team on feasibility of proposed designs.

• International experience with global projects and collaboration with intercultural teams, a global mindset.

• Process-oriented mindset.

• High level of confidence in solving problems and making decisions.

• Preferred candidate has experience working with EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) software and/or direct field experience and a working knowledge of ISO 55000.

• Ideal candidate has 10+ years’ experience in utility, industry, or infrastructure sectors.

• Communicate the status of these reviews to internal stakeholders: Lead Product Owner, Project Management Office, Software Development Managers, Program Management, UX Team.

• Facilitate backlog grooming.

• Provide ongoing support to Scrum teams.

• Check and accept sprint work.  

• Facilitate sprint demos.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business.

• 7 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification.

• Demonstrated ability in translating market requirements to software development teams.

• Strong ability to conceptualize large complex systems with many interrelated constituent sub-systems, i.e. “many moving parts”.

• Excellent time and project management skills.

• Ability to work with global teams in global time zones.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
