Setpoint/JR Automation is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for our Ogden, Utah location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, implement and document controls systems (electrical, software, pneumatic, hydraulic) for various types of automated equipment
  • Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams
  • Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or Setpoint build specifications using standard techniques and approach
  • Responsible to assist with the successful management of assigned projects as they relate to cost, quality, timing and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible to assist with the management of direct, indirect and overtime hours as they relate to workload, budget and timing
  • Responsible to assist in developing the Controls Engineering Department through leadership, experience, positive attitude, encouragement and mentoring. Strive to achieve the highest level of quality and performance from each team member as it relates to their individual ability
  • Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment; up to 25% travel expected yearly

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering field
  • At least seven years of related experience and/or training
  • Exposure to industry, equivalent combination of education or experience
  • Computer proficiency
