Controller

Description

You as a Controller will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Your responsibilities

• Enforcement of group accounting and reporting guidelines and of country and BU specific finance directives and instructions
• Performing, analyzing, reviewing and proposal for actions to the management team and controlling, asset management, finance*, liquidity planning* and tax*
• Corporate governance, compliance, assurance, SOX and risk management, risk review process for projects and project follow-up
• Continuing cost reductions and improvements in cost-efficiency (SG&A, COPQ) and following up and implementation of agreed measures – both operational and strategic
• Optimization of resources in co-cooperation with shared service center and filing or reporting as per local requirements 
• Leadership, development, and succession planning of the finance and controlling resources in the within the product group and long-term business planning in line with BU strategies, strategy implementation and follow-up.
• OSA implementation and working knowledge for country specific commercial issues.
• Managing the preparation of short terms financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
• Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements and business partnering support to the relevant business managers or service managers.

Your background             

• A bachelor’s in finance field is required.
• Strong financial manager with operational and accounting experience
• Deep knowledge of finance and control processes and tools, relevant GAAP (local, IFRS, Hitachi GAAP)
• Management and communication skills, team-player.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
