Summary of the position:

Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC (HGAP) is seeking an IT Support Analyst to serve as Tier 2 support for various information systems. The successful candidate will be able to analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate, maintain and/or improve existing systems, as well as analyze or recommend commercially available software and hardware solutions. Depending on experience, may manage/supervise, lead, guide, and/or assist IT staff in all facets of computer operations, networking, telephony, and system integrations. This position will include analysis, installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, documentation, and support responsibilities.

This role will include development goals with the expectation the candidate will move into positions of increasing responsibilities in the organization.

The IT Support Analyst is an on-site position at the HGAP facility in Michigan City, Indiana. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to internal end-users and user computing
  • Complete and track project tasks
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new technology to support solution adoption.
  • Install, maintain and monitor equipment, which may include network and server infrastructure and application systems
  • Performs functions, including desktop security, patching, scripting, package deployment, and system management and maintains desktop and laptop images
  • Ability to support and integrate software across multi-platforms and technology stacks.
  • Identification, documentation, and prioritization of business requirements.
  • Support the development and deployment throughout the Sullair Business Systems Lifecycle.
  • Be able to manage majority of the systems supported by the Infrastructure team by performing server builds, patch management, virtual machine management, etc.
  • Leveraging knowledge of multiple tools, technology, and experience to solve unusually complex problems with a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
  • Mentors and develop junior Service Desk and PC Support technicians
  • Knowledge of network topology and network troubleshooting
  • Familiar with the Microsoft technology stack (Office 365)
  • Familiar with functions of Customer Relationship Management tools (CRM)

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; IT/MBA background preferred.

Professional experience:

  • 4-6 years of business experience.
