In your role as a Principal System Test Engineer you will integrate and verify both software and hardware for measurement and communication devices in the task area Distribution Automation Solutions (Power Grids) as part of our international team (Poland and Germany). With these products we want to jointly drive the energy transition to make the world CO2 neutral, safe and more sustainable for future generations.

You will work on totally new product in our portfolio then debugging and troubleshooting mindset connected with very good communication skills and team player attitude is highly required.

This position is suitable only for person who is fully self-driven and target oriented. A lot of work would be something not executed before so natural curiosity about how parts of system are connected and how they operate together is crucial.

Your responsibilities:

• Work on test strategy for new product introduction
• Work on integration all Distribution Automation solutions with SCADA system
• Work closely with the development team in problem characterization and early design validation and integration
• Cooperate with a dedicated and highly motivated team of HW developers, embedded programmers and quality engineers in all phases of development using agile processes
• Work trustfully with system analysts and software architects
• Write detail test plans, take them through review, execute and find bugs
• Participation in project planning, execution, testing and R&D activities
• Bringing QA mentality into the team

Your background:

• BSc or MSc degree in IT, SW engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Electronics or similar area
• 7+ years in testing embedded software or system integration
• Experience with TCP/IP protocol, IP Addressing (DHCP, NAT, etc)
• Solid understanding of Linux OS tools and utilities, wireless and ethernet drivers
• Preferably knowledge in power engineering, automation technology, network technology or communication technology
• Familiarity with third party industrial power systems and power products solution such as SCADA and RTUs would be a big plus
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps
• You communicate fluently in English (Polish and German are nice to have)
