The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of Control Centre Architecture and System Integration
• Hardware and Software installation
• System integration for telemetry and 3rd party data
• Server installation RAID Config/ OS installation/ Customization (LINUX/Windows)
• Proprietary Product installation and integration
• Workstation OS installation
• LAN/Firewall configuration
• FEP to RTU integration & testing, ICCP Configuration/Testing;
• Integration with 3rd party solutions connected to SCADA system;
• Hands on experience with Ansible Playbook for automated installation;
• Conduct tests at different stages of Project Life Cycle
• Create or assist in the writing user documentation, instructions and procedures;
• Deliver customer trainings and workshops;
• Assist in the designing, testing, and deploying of business applications;
• Troubleshooting errors and providing fixes or workaround;
• Configuration of Active Directory user profiles and GPOs;
• Cooperate with other teams in different business units and locations;
• Must have people skills, the ability to work with both international customers and suppliers as a SCADA System Integrator;
• Enjoy working in a high profile environment with constant verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel is must.
• Any experience of Database/HMI modelling and/or SCADA Application configuration will be an advantage

Your Background:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics).
• Must have 5+ years of experience.
• Real Time system integration Experience in Control Centre T&D Projects
• Hands on System design/installation/configuration/testing
• Control Centre system knowledge solution knowledge with ABB/Siemens/Areva/Alstom/GE/Schneider/OSI (either)
• Data interfacing with RTU on misc protocols, ICCP integration, 3rd party integration
• Backup solutions
• Domain Controller configuration
• Ansible Playbook
