Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Manufacturing Project Planner in Hagerstown, MD. who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.

Prepare activity plans based on information provided by the functional lead.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Discuss, analyze, and agree any programmed changes.
  • Implement agreed changes and prepares revised control documents and plans.
  • Attend client planning meetings.
  • Maintain the history of project execution for future projects.
  • Generate periodic reports analyzing man-hours, progress status and any corrective action required.
  • Other general admin and planning tasks.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in manufacturing environment, fabrication or assembly in the railway sector or similar.
  • Higher education in any STEM Subjects.
  • Desire and willingness to work within Rail Manufacturing Sector.
  • A proactive, diligent and driven professional with good attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, experienced in the preparation of reports and information using packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Life Cycle.
  • Knowledge and experience of planning software (like, Primavera P6), preferred.

Education:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s in related areas preferred or the equivalent in experience.
