As a IT Project Manager you will provide leadership and technical guidance to our CSO Team, consultants, colleagues from other departments, customers and partners ensuring adherence to quality standards and review deliveries. to budget. Technical knowledge is required to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for processes or projects. You will also support our Sales team with proposals for service solutions opportunities.
Business development & Sales Support: Supports Sales in proposals and bids to meet customer needs. Deal with customer queries in relation to the pricing of the order, delivery and installation etc. Identify and report additional business opportunities for consulting. Prepare Estimated Statements of Work and Statements of Work based on information provided. Demonstrate project management skills to define, schedules and plan the execution of implementation projects. Maintain good working relationships with the Customer and ensuring that Hitachi Energy meets the Customer's expectations securing a successful project for both the Customer & Hitachi Energy. Define project plans, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans. Provide regular status updates to development teams and management. Identify risks, change requests, and overlap with other products/projects.
Project Execution & Control: Lead the execution of medium to large size and complex projects.
Quality: Adherence to Project and Hitachi Energy ESS quality standards, producing high quality project reporting documentation. Demonstrate high-quality, professional and ethical conduct.
Management Knowledge: Fosters development and implementation of agreed concepts, principles & strategies, methodologies, processes, awareness and training, in support of knowledge management initiatives relevant to the customer base
Personal Development: Constantly seeks ways to learn, acquire new skills and knowledge and improve quality of consulting services. Keep up to date with product developments and return customer and market feedback to Product Management .
Health Safety & Environment: Follow and comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies such as “Don’t look the other way”. Lean 6 Sigma and Hitachi Energy hazard reporting.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in Project Management (preferably in Software).
Significant experience in an asset intensive industry; specifically, power generation and transmission, utilities, rail transportation, mining, public infrastructure.
Customer or consulting service experience focused on providing enterprise software solutions
Customer satisfaction, problem solving and teamwork
Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
Fluent in French and English
