Our team is a part of Hitachi Energy R&D technology and is responsible for the scouting and development Insulation part of transformers. At our site in Lodz, we work close to production to better understand challenges with optimization of product/process. 
We are going to build new environment for R&D Insulation and support business to develop new ideas.

Reporting to Kamil Ostalski, Technology Development Specialist-Team Lead. and supported by Łukasz Wrzesiński R&D Technology Manager, you will cooperate and will be supported by our global R&D teams and experts. A creative environment allows you to utilize your knowledge and skills in technology and product development to identify and implement innovative solutions for new products.

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on cellulose-based transformer insulation and cellulose alternatives
  • Develop new products and processes from concept to commercialization
  • Cooperation with Manufacturing units, external Research units and Labs
  • Focus on process, digitalization and improvement focus on increase capacity
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Automation / digitalization benchmarking incl. testing
  • Contribute to R&D projects, lead assigned activities
  • Collaborate with other engineers within R&D community
  •  Provide project and test reports as well as other papers

Your background:

  • Technical drawing knowledge
  • Good verbal and written English language skills
  • Analytical approach to solving production problems
  • Basic project management (contact with suppliers/customers)

  • Experience in working with manufacturing (contact with production managers)
  • Data modeling
  • PLC basics knowledge
