The Hitachi Energy location in Jefferson City, MO is a premier designer and manufacturer of distribution transformers for the electrical grid, commercial data centers, industrial facilities, wind & solar alternative energy sources.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Job assignments are primarily designed to give students the opportunity to work on projects.
  • Process Engineer intern projects will be assignments with our product line value streams.
  • Participate and supporting kaizen events & other improvement projects.
  • Projects that will impact & reduce cost savings, scrap, rework and first past yield performance.
  • Process and Material Flow projects to enhance standardized work, material presentation and replenishment.
  • Work area layout improvements and one-piece flow improvements Other projects as assigned.
  • Assist with development of Procedure Qualification Records (PQR’s) and Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS’s).
  • Assist with support for shop floor operations and troubleshooting of welding equipment and operations.
  • Perform weld audits of various welding operations.

Your background:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US.
