Mission Statement:

Hitachi Energy IT have initiated an IT Transformation program for the set up and migration to a new “stand alone” global IT environment. We are looking for a talented IT individual to be part of building and operating a new IT function equipped to meet our future needs. As a ServiceNow Platform Functional Analyst your role will be to work closely with the process managers, product owners and other stakeholders to understand their functional requirements and translate these requirements to functional specifications for the ServiceNow delivery teams to deliver.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the stakeholders and the process managers to understand their requirements and translate these requirements into functional specifications

  • Understand the ITSM processes in detail and apply this knowledge to work collaboratively with the process managers to shape and develop solutions in ServiceNow

  • Document and manage the functional requirements and functional specifications as stories

  • Define acceptance criteria, test plans and test cases for the stories

  • Perform thorough testing for the solutions developed by the Technical developers / configurators to ensure the solutions meet the functional requirements

  • Maintain and update functional documentation for various ITSM processes

  • Provide guidance or support to the technical delivery teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advise without carrying line responsibility

  • Support the AMS team (ServiceNow Operations team) in the incident and problem resolution when functional verification is required

Your Background:

  • At least 5 years of experience working as Functional / Business Analyst in the ITSM Tools

  • Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow CSDM and demonstrated experience in designing and modelling services aligned to CSDM methodology

  • Degree in software engineering, computer systems, or similar

  • ServiceNow Systems Administrator certification required

  • ITIL Foundation certificate required

  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with business stakeholders, understanding their requirements and translating them to functional specifications

  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively in geographically dispersed team

  • Fluent spoken and written English, ability to formulate complex topics in everyday language
