Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples - Italy.

Accountabilities:
- Software Requirements Analysis
- Software Coding and Testing
- Software Documentation production
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- C/C++ programming language
- Linux operating system for embedded applications
- Ethernet based communication networks
- Real time embedded systems
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Railway standards EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129
- PLC programming languages (IEC 61131 / IEC 61499)
- Python programming language
- JAVA programming language
- HTML5, Javascript development framework
- Cybersecurity standard and design techniques
Education/Qualifications:
Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.
Languages
Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).
