Hitachi Energy is seeking an HR Business Partner Junior to support the High Voltage business in Brno, Czech Republic, where you will be part of a European and Global HR Business Partner team.

You will support this unit, which manufactures high voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear components, specializing in isolated phase business products and also serving as a key Power Grid High Voltage feeder factory. We employ around 450 people and deploy high tech manufacturing processes and equipment, including paint application robots. We are looking for an HR professional who places value on collaboration, knowledge sharing, appreciates transparency and can maximize opportunities for growth and improvement.

Your responsibilities:

  • Drive or support implementation of HR processes including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management.
  • Partnering with the business and talent management/staffing and recruiting colleagues on key talent initiatives.
  • Work with both operational and strategic tasks with focus on culture, people and organization.
  • Understand business needs and provides support and suggestions when applying HR policies and processes. Ensure that we are compliant with HR and labor law regulations and add maximum value to business.
  • Proactively support and coach management on HR topics (e.g. performance management, employee relations, talent management, learning and development, hiring and recruitment) working collaboratively with HR Operations and the HR Front office of Excellence functions.
  • HR program advocacy (e.g. communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR programs roll out).
  • Retention and engagement (track HR statistics, assess employee engagement and implement forward actions).

What we expect from you:

  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in HR role, ideally form a production environment.
  • Secondary school, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of local Labor market, legislations and policies.
  • Excellent command in English is essential, both written and spoken.
  • Highly effective planning, and organization of tasks, be able to communicate clearly and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • You are flexible, persistent and have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate well with others in a high-paced environment.
