Hitachi Energy Real Estate (RE) function provides strategic leadership and is responsible for all Hitachi Energy real estate activities around the world. We act as a privileged business partner and drive Hitachi Energy’s performance through the real estate solutions we provide to the business.

Within this function, the Global Portfolio Management division drives the portfolio, optimizes the real estate cost, builds the real estate strategy, and mitigates risks related to Real Estate. We are dedicated to leveraging data-driven insights to enhance overall portfolio performance.

The Global Portfolio Management division also addresses the sustainable topics in the management of the portfolio, with the Business Units and Hitachi Energy sustainable function.  

Position Overview

As a Real Estate Business Analyst within our team, you will play a crucial role in:

• managing our RE application (Archibus), improving data quality, creating reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights. Archibus is used by the Real Estate function to make strategic decisions that drive efficiency in our real estate operations

• acting as a liaison between the RE team, the Archibus team and the Hitachi Energy IT team

• assisting the Global RE Portfolio Management Lead with RE portfolio optimization initiatives

We are seeking you as skilled Real Estate Business Analyst with a passion for data analysis tools and for leveraging data to optimize space utilization, lease management, property performance, to increase energy efficiency and to reach low carbon emissions. The ideal candidate would have experience in managing RE data, possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of real estate and related processes, and the ability to translate complex data into useful analysis and KPIs, that the function will use in recommendations to the Hitachi Energy senior management and Business Units. You would be required to gather requirements from the RE business users and collaborate with IT teams to translate them into effective solutions. Your responsibilities

• Administer and maintain comprehensive databases, including our new real estate data management system (Archibus), to store, organize and improve real estate data, including property attributes, lease agreements, and space plans

• Update playbooks and training programs related to our data management system

• Demonstrate proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, Enterprise Data Platform

• Create insightful reports and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators, occupancy rates, lease expiration dates, and other relevant metrics to stakeholders

• Assist in the development of standardized real estate performance metrics and benchmarks to evaluate portfolio optimization and performance

• Utilize statistical analysis and modeling techniques to forecast space demand, occupancy rates, and rental income, contributing to strategic decision-making

• Assist in rent reviews and portfolio planning

• Support the real estate team globally in the use of Archibus and conduct trainings

• Create SharePoint sites and assist in developing our dedicated intranet site

• Support the efficient collection, analysis, and reporting of data for our sustainability activities

• Collaborate with Real Estate teams and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security, while also exploring opportunities for process automation and system enhancements

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in real estate data analysis and space management

Your background

• Degree in Real Estate, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field

• 2-5 years of experience in real estate (data analysis, space management, lease management)

• Ideally knowledge in Archibus or any real estate data management system

• Knowledge in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, Enterprise Data Platform, AutoCAD or similar platforms for data analysis

• Understanding of real estate terminology, portfolio management processes, and lease agreements

• Demonstrated ability to transform complex data into actionable insights and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges

• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

• Experience in a global environment preferred

• Knowledge of SAP, real estate industry regulations, market trends, or emerging technologies is a plus
