You will be part of the newly formed European Sales Team, focusing on the European GIS market. As Area Sales Manager in Zurich-Oerlikon, it is your exciting task to facilitate the energy transition by a cutting-edge product portfolio. In this team, you will work with international peers having many years of experience with-in the high voltage business. Your responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for tender management of the GIS product line and devise complete offers.

  • Functionally lead our global sales operations team members and other relevant functions, to ensure full consistency of the offers (technical and commercial)

  • Lead the technical and commercial negotiations on behalf of the GIS factory.

  • Perform risk reviews and set up cost calculations.

  • Team up with the High Voltage HUB Europe sales & marketing community to effectively position the GIS portfolio in Europe.

  • Assume responsibility for an allocated region within Europe as primary contact person for all GIS sales related questions.

  • Prepare production forecasts and provide support in preparing sales key figures (budget) 

  • Hold customer workshops, sales trainings, and participate in trade fairs.

Your background

  • Degree (Bachelor/Master) in a technical/engineering discipline and, ideally further qualification in business administration

  • Working experience in sales and customer acquisition as well as knowledge of the market

  • Proven experience in the energy industry or manufacturing and/or system business, while product know-how in the field of substations and/or switchgear desirable

  • Very good command of written and verbal English

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and ability to convince.

  • Understanding of customers and sales channels.

  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.

  • Eager to develop yourself, support your peers, and our customers.

  • Willingness to travel
