In this role you dfine and implement short, medium and long-term actions to improve safety, operating efficiency, quality and productivity in the entire value chain, to improve customer satisfaction and reduce operating costs in a safe working environment. The focus area of Metal Fabrication: tanks and enclosures production (cutting, welding, painting).

For this role we follow a hybrid work structure where you can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as the global process expert for Metal Fabrication in power transformers which includes methods and equipment for the entire power transformer business.

  • Support factories in emergency equipment and process issues.

  • Provide expert support to our factories for process improvement activities, equipment investments and upgrades, and equipment relocations.

  • Improve metal fabrication processes to drive standardization, higher level of safety, quality and productivity.

  • Conduct factory assessments and follow the implementation of the global manufacturing platform and drive implementation in a systematic manner.

  • Develop standard equipment requirements, linked with process performance and critical to quality characteristics and update documentations such as production standards, quality inspection cards and user manuals related to metal fabrication equipment deployed in the transformer factories.

  • Optimize and improve the metal fabrication operations by maximizing the asset utilization, at lowest cost, while making sure that the quality standards and customer requirements are met.

  • Incorporate lessons learned from quality cases to the global standards in order to reduce COPQ.

  • Driving innovation in production, including automation and digitalization.

  • Support OHS responsible with technical solutions and routines within own expertise area.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with global suppliers for metal fabrication equipment, in cooperation with respective category manager and supply quality manager.

Your background

  • Technical University degree

  • Certified Welding Engineer

  • Experience from relevant industry (5-10 years)

  • Strong analytical and systemic problem-solving skills with clear passion to develop and to drive change

  • Fluent written and spoken English matched with excellent communication skills

  • International experience, working in different countries and cultures
