Description

Mission Statement:

A technician who is willing to work mainly at Hitachi Energy’s workshop based in Welshpool, WA. The focus for this role will be to perform transformer repair, refurbishment, and testing activities as per customer requirements, standard and OEM guidelines.

Your Responsibility:

  • You will carry out maintenance, repair, refurbishment work and other service-related activities on transformers of various sizes.
  • You will perform transformer routine and special testing.
  • You will diagnose technical problems, determine, and implement corrective actions.
  • You will follow technical instructions provided by the factories or transformer specialist/ supervisor for repair/ maintenance of the transformers.
  • You will execute service activities on time within budget with expected quality with a high focus on safety.
  • You will maintain and strengthen working relationship with customers.
  • You will be interact with and support sales team on potential business opportunities.
  • You will prepare all required safety, operational and technical documents and reports associated with service activities including stop take 5s, JSA, equipment calibration, etc.
  • You will proactively identify and participate in performance improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service.
  • You should undertake Product training to develop skill sets, further enhance product knowledge and grow as product specialist.

Your Background:

  • A-Grade Electrician (Preferred).
  • Experience in transformer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work within a team, and follow instructions as well as be able to work with no supervision.
