About the business:
The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Providing Technical Support of High Voltage (66KV-400KV) AIS and GIS equipment.
Effectively manages close liaison with wider teams within Hitachi Energy plus sub suppliers, Focus Feeder Factories to deliver contracts on time and to the agreed specification.
Helps Focus Feeder Factories to fully understand the UK Market requirement.
Works with clients, their organizations, third parties and procedures to ensure Hitachi Energy’s products are compliant and approved.
Acts as voice of customer back into internal engineering and quality functions.
Work with internal functions to ensure customer feedback is prioritized.
Supports service and delivery of site activities for HV products, where necessary.
Establishing and driving compliance plans for existing and new products through customer registration and standards agencies (ENA, NGTR etc.)
Adhering to systems and procedures ensuring Hitachi Energy’s products comply.
Taking financial accountability and ownership over client engineering projects and those contributed to by internal suppliers and stakeholders.

HND or bachelor’s
degree in electrical engineering.
A similar technical background ideally within High Voltage substation, Utility, Transmission or Renewables or a similar field.
Fluent communication- and strong interpersonal skills with colleagues and customers
You enjoy working in diverse and multicultural teams and are interested to share your experiences and knowledge with your colleagues and gain value from their input.
A flexible team player with leadership skills who enjoys problem solving and works in an efficient, structured way
Fluently communicating in English to interact with various stakeholders.
