Description

You as Digital Lead – Energy Solutions will be part of the Front-End technical Sales Team of Hitachi Energy’s business based in Johannesburg, South Africa.  You will be localizing the global digital strategy of Hitachi Energy, supporting the four business units in rolling out their digital energy solutions and offerings with their customers and seeking opportunities to add value to our customer requirements.

Your responsibilities

  • Strategy development: Develop a digital growth strategy for the Southern African region in line with Hitachi Energy’s digital strategy, including digital country growth planning and assuring digital competency & relevant actions such as staffing requirements. Provide local input to value propositions and region Digital domain competence and support and business development in future digital growth categories. 
  • Targets: Grow Digital Pipeline and Orders received. Meet KPIs associated with achieving growth strategy, winning strategic opportunities, growing digital market access, penetration into new segments and propagating digital value propositions in the Southern African region. 
  • Market analysis: Build local market intelligence, including competitor moves in digital and enabling regional voice of customer engagements.
  • People, engagement, network, and collaboration: Support senior region management with strategic and local accounts and alignment with value propositions and region growth strategies. Provide functional leadership and coaching to the business units sales teams to grow digital competency.  Build relationships with senior level stakeholders in the region and managing associations groups engagement.  Establish regional digital networks of segment stakeholders. 
  • Reporting: Manage reporting of digital metrics to region and global management, providing visibility of digital strategy implementation success. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering is required.


Your background        

  • 12 years or more relevant work experience in the electrical energy industry.
  • Relevant experience in digital solution development in the electrical energy industry.
  • Technical Solution Sales experience, demonstrating strategic customer engagement and solution development.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
