About the Position:

Deliver complex (in terms of number of interfaces and/or contract value) Signalling systems and subsystems that meet Signalling system and subsystem requirements, in compliance with project schedule and budget along with quality deliverables.

Guarantee to build the required V&V evidences.

Design & Development, implementation and maintenance of tools, Products that are required for above deliveries to enhance safety, quality and efficiency of systems offered to customers.

Key Accountabilities:

WITH REFERENCE TO COMPLEX SIGNALLING SYSTEMS AND SUBSYSTEMS:

  • Guarantee delivery of system and subsystem Signalling solution in compliance with Signalling system and subsystem requirements, and in accordance with quality, project schedule and budget.
  • Guarantee the definition of the Signalling system and subsystem Validation Test Specification and the implementation of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V activities according to the RAMS governance directions and to the Company processes and guidelines.
  • Ensure the definition of the requirements and expected features for the testing environments/tools, needed to execute the Signalling system and subsystem Validation activities.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain the tools and or the products that would guarantee delivery of project V&V documents at Signalling system and subsystem level in cooperation with the other RAMS functions, Engineering, Operation & Maintenance and external suppliers.
  • Support V&V activities through participation to projects, bidding and delivery phases: Signalling system and subsystem V&V planning, attendance to design reviews with suppliers, attendance to the field tests.
  • Ensure the proper level of independence in the definition and implementation of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V activities in compliance with applicable standards and SILs through the tools / products developed.
  • Ensure technical support to RAMS Managers for management and interface of Independent Safety Assessor, Employer and External Authorities.
  • Ensure the provision of schedule and cost progress to relevant RAMS Manager.
  • Development of test plans and coordination with third-party laboratories while performing the independent types testing and evaluations of products as per the customer specified standards / requirements.

Key Experiences preferred:

  • Electrical, Electronics & Communication Background.

  • 8 to 12 years of professional experience with configuration and/or Validation of wayside Signalling systems in Railway.

  • Good working knowledge in development of embedded products and tools for the Railway signalling environments.

  • Application V&V Processes knowledge, System Technical knowledge, Subsystem Technical knowledge, Application data Validation, System testing knowledge.

  • RAMS analysis and methodology, RAM/Safety Management, Project Management, International and national Standards.

  • Must be able to handle working in a dynamic environment with parallel responsibilities and competing priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key qualifications preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree (Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical) /Master’s Degree.

IRSTELO License & English Proficiency will be preferred.
