Description:

Role of Principal Architect will require candidate to assess client requirements (business and technical) and come up with the most optimum architectural solutions and drive it to implementation.
Candidate will lead and drive the solutioning and implementation of Data Center to Azure migration for an application suite with over 1200 databases.
Candidate is expected to have in-depth experience in ASP.Net MVC applications, SQL Server, Azure Services (SQL Managed Instance, VM Scale Set, DevOps and other related services). Candidate should also have experience with Datawarehouse architectures and Reporting applications. Candidate must have experience with similar Cloud Migration programs.

Requirements:

Qualifications:
1. 16+ years of experience in software development, solutioning and architecting large scale systems.
2. Proven design, planning and implementation experience with all infrastructure components including storage, network and compute technologies
3. Experience in designing optimized, scalable, secured and cost-effective solution on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure/platform
4. Good experience with C#, .Net, SQL Server tech stack
5. Good experience with relational databases, data warehouses, ETL Processes, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Reporting solutions
6. Strong experience on security related concepts like role based access, securing APIs with token/certificates
7. Well versed in designing and building Azure / AWS solutions that include high availability, multi-region and multi-set architectures using virtual networks, availability sets and affinity groups
8. Experience in building cloud automation/orchestration solutions with technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Openstack, Ansible
9. Experience architecting CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps/Jenkins/Bitbucket/GIT
10. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
11. Comfortable in Interaction with client technology teams and articulating solutions
12. Azure Architect Certification or similar.
13. Excellent verbal, presentation and written communications skills
14. At least a Bachelor's degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.

Job Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the assessment of existing client architecture and landscape and provide summary to client
2. Identify the areas where solutions need to be vetted through POCs, provide technical guidance to team to conduct these POCs, present outcomes to client and choose most optimal approach.
3. Design overall to-be infrastructure landscape with support of cloud architect
4. Design to-be enterprise architecture working closely with other architects
5. Work with team and client to prepare detailed migration plan
6. Lead the Architect and Development teams to implement the technical solutions and execute migration plan
7. Produce solutions that are models of performance, scalability, and extensibility
8. Evaluate new technologies and build POCs.
9. Look across teams and products to find synergies and solutioning mindset to identify/remove duplication
10. Work with leaders and team members at all levels and across functional lines
11. Stay abreast of leading-edge technologies in the industry evaluating emerging software technologies
