Description

Our successful candidate will be a highly motivated and collaborative, with a history of meeting or exceeding business targets and previous experience in leading people, as a line manager or by leading projects or similar. As Head of the Bid & Proposal and Order Handling Team of Hitachi Energy Germany for the domestic market, you will have primary responsibility for delivering convincing tenders on time and with high quality, as well as for a professional order fulfillment

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for Bid & Proposal and Order Handling of the Products Business of Hitachi Energy Transformer and High-Voltage Business in Germany
  • You will be leading a team of Bid Managers and Order Handling specialists
  • Your team is responsible for managing the entire bid process and the order handling for the product business in the domestic market
  • You will be working closely with the Market Managers, the Sales Team in the Front-End Organization, Contract Management & Legal and the Factories to ensure efficient interfaces and cooperation
  • Leadership: Lead the Bid & Proposal and Order Handling team to achieve business results. Focus on employee competences and development to ensure a strong-performing, motivated and engaged team of B&P/Order Handing professionals
  • Follow the relevant process and implement in the team. Support process improvements and ensure the implementation of new processes give by the company

Your background

  • Degree (Bachelor/Master) in a technical/engineering discipline and, ideally further qualification in business administration
  • More than 5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Tendering or Order Handling /Project Management
  • Previous experience in leading people
  • Proven experience in the energy industry and solutions & product know-how
  • Strong understanding of tendering and order handling, commercial processes, contract negotiation, risk management, and of commercial and legal terms
  • Excellent leadership and communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with Customer focus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and ability to convince
  • Fluent in German; Business fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Eager to develop yourself, support your peers, and our customers
  • Willingness to travel
