Description

As Global Portfolio Manager you will be accountable for the management of the Business Unit product portfolio through value optimization, roadmap planning, market positioning and promotion plans across markets and customers segments. You support the optimization and the market deployment of the portfolio according to customer needs, strategy and growth plans.

Your responsibilities

  • Translate the business strategy into the optimization of the Business Unit product mix across markets and customer segments in collaboration with the Product Groups

  • Work across Global Product Groups to develop the yearly product investment plan through the analysis of the portfolio: risk vs. return, short-term vs. long-term, profit pools, markets and technologies priorities

  • Define and manage the BU product portfolio balanced scorecard including product investment, market introduction and business performance (eg. market share, profitability, ROI)

  • Monitor the Business Unit portfolio performance against targets and ensure appropriate iterations with product management and Business Unit regional marketing to optimize the performance

  • Consolidate and monitor the BU’s new product introduction roadmap, including product launches and advanced releases in collaboration with the GPGs and the technology teams

  • Support the prioritization process across GPGs to ensure an efficient and impactful funnel of new product introduction plans across markets and customer segments

  • Drives synergies across the Business Unit roadmap on strategic topics such digital, service, modularization and design to value

  • Consolidate and drive the product launch planning and business positioning at the Business Unit level in collaboration with communication: customer events and conferences planning, new product launch plans and dedicated campaigns

  • Structure and manage the BU product catalog spanning the entire portfolio of the BU offering. Support GPGs on the BU value-selling framework and positioning. Review collaterals structure and messages.

  • Set and organize training campaigns on the BU product catalog for sales and other customer-facing functions, in collaboration with Sales.

  • Support the yearly strategic planning process from market validation, demand order estimate and PIE Heatmaps. Identify market / product gaps and white-spaces at the Business Unit level

  • Conduct strategic analysis based on the Business Unit needs and requests in alignment with the respective key stakeholders

Your background

  • University degree in engineering (preferably electrical) or industrial business

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or strategic planning in industrial systems (ideally in grid systems)

  • Strong analytical and financial skills to perform market analysis and prepare business plans

  • Experience on project management: proven ability to lead projects from onset to completion in a cross-functional setup.

  • Active interest in energy economics and politics, reading the specialized trade press, market research reports and other specialized publications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to synthetize complex or ambiguous issues into simple and clear statements. Advanced skills with power point.

  • Proven customer orientation and collaborative. High ethical standard, trustworthy and put integrity first.

  • Solid influencing and networking skills, matured in an international and multi-cultural environment.

  • Resourceful with the ability to work independently with minimal direction. Quick to react to urgent request, relying on self-drive and motivation.

  • Ability to travel 30+% of the time

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
