Description

Summary of the position:

Provide support to the procurement manager; assisting with manufacturing schedules, product, and supply inventories; assisting with shipping documentation and purchase orders. Supporting communications with suppliers, and general help with administrative tasks.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintains and updates the manufacturing calendar as well as manages and prioritizes schedules.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and transfer calls to the proper department.
  • Copy materials and distribute mail/fax/scan documents.
  • Order office supplies
  • Assist with data entry.
  • Assist with keeping the office organized.
  • Supports continuous improvement of manufacturing controls and materials planning functions.
  • Tracks and updates product and supply inventories.
  • Assists with shipping procedures and POs.
  • Complies with and ensures department compliance with Company environmental, health and safety and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent/associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Professional experience:

  • Three or more years’ experience in an administrative role.
  • Working experience in Purchasing / Inventory / Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good team skills – a high level of enthusiasm and motivation, and the ability to take input from others.
  • Able to manage self to achieve set targets.

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing, and to receive detailed information in person or by phone.
  • Ability to read, verify and input accurately a large volume of work with repetitive motions required.

  • This position requires long periods of sitting at a desk using a computer.
