We are looking to strengthen our SOM application team.


Your responsibilities

In this context you will:

  • Development and Engineering of applications for Substation Automation Systems with Gateways, HMI and Communication.
  • Cooperation with our team for IED-engineering to establish the data exchange between bay-level and station-level.
  • Engineering and testing of NCC interface. Prepare test protocols for SA-systems.
  • Support our delivery organization with the assistance they need in order to successfully implement our new solution towards customer project. As well as supporting the tender organization for new opportunities.
  • Work with our station interface, both locally and versus remote
  • Train and support the organization in applying a new HMI and SCADA solution in our delivery projects.
  • Work with detailed design, system integration and test-based development
  • Perform HMI and SCADA verification of our control systems – executed in test rooms and on-site.

You will become part of a dedicated project team, in which we work together throughout all phases of our extensive projects. It will also give you the benefit to travel globally during the commissioning period based on the project requirements.
 

Your Background

  • You hold a university degree within a relevant technical area along with competence and experience within the IEC61850 domain.
  • Significant Experience in Energy/Utility substation design
  • Grid Automation P&C and SAS products deep knowledge
  • Background in Electrical Control Systems and SCADA/DCS systems
  • Knowledge Standards with emphasis on IEC61850
  • Competency for substation automation engineering for station control systems based on Micro SCADA, with IEC61850-8-1 standard, MODBUS, OPC DA/UA etc.
  • Good knowledge in Ethernet topologies and various redundancy concepts
  • 4+ years of experience with Substation Automation Systems.
  • Experience within any of these fields are advantageous: IEC61850, HMI (Micro SCADA), event and database handling, communication protocols.
  • You are a driven problem solver who eagerly takes initiatives and always delivers on time and according to expectations. Naturally, contributing to our continued development motivates you.
  • Proficient in English since you will be part of an international setting where you will get to exchange knowledge with people from all over the world.

Your foundation is a university degree within a relevant technical area along with competence within SAS design. Experience or a big interest in from either control systems or OT network configuration and design of operator interfaces is a requirement, whereas an understanding of electric power systems is a plus.
