For our BU Grid Automation in Madrid, we are looking for a Service Engineer for Battery Energy Storage System.
In this position, the Service Engineer is responsible for servicing BESS battery storge systems, will be responsible for troubleshooting the system on-site as well as remote and also all the planned maintenance.
Considering that it’s still a small organization, it is possible that the person has to do some commissioning and installation activities, but the tasks would be to supervise these activities. As training on the job, the candidate will join 2/3 weeks of commissioning activity.
As a Service Engineer he/she has to do service work. Also troubleshooting, maintenance, and plan maintenance on-site and power electronic maintenance. Partly supervision during installation. This includes doing technical assistance remote and on site.
Furthermore, the Service Engineer’s tasks will include:
Execute service work on Batteries Energy Storage Systems according to work instructions and in accordance with Hitachi Energy standard processes.
Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance at site or from remote.
Identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activities in different areas (service, installation and commissioning, retrofits, technical assistance)
Utilize the HE remote connection tools to collect data from the installed fleet and provide meaningful data analytics.
Work in close cooperation with the R&D and engineering team to identify digital solutions and support the expansion of the service scope on the Hitachi Energy BESS installed base.
Collaborate with the service engineering team to finalize spare parts list and time schedules for the planned maintenance.
Act as the resolution owner of the cases opened by the customers.
Keep the assigned fleet database always up to date in terms of system configuration.
Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Report unsafe practices and incidents.
Bachelor Degree in Electronical Engineering or Technical Diploma;
Experience of at least 3 years as Service Engineer;
Experience in automation and control is nice to have;
Good Knowledge of English and Spanish;
Ability to work in team and problem solving
