Summary of the position:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional proactive relationship between the organization and the quality department for each product group. This person will be the lead contact concerning internal and customer quality and responsible for obtaining complete problem resolution with the goal of zero defects through continuously improving the internal processes. In addition, this individual will be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators (KPI’s) and actively working with Operations, Engineering, and Supplier Quality on corrective actions to obtain stated departmental goals.
This position is located at the Hitachi Global Air Power manufacturing plant in Michigan City, Indiana, and reports to the Quality Manager.
