Description:

Join GlobalLogic, to be a valid part of the team working on a huge software project for the world-class company providing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules e.g. to the automotive, healthcare and logistics industries. Through our engagement, we contribute to our customer in developing the end-user modules' firmware, implementing new features, maintaining compatibility with the newest telecommunication and industry standards, as well as performing analysis and estimations of the customer requirements.

Requirements:

GCP architecture design experience, On-prem exp, GCP Cloud exp, hands-on exp. as an Architect
• Hands on experience on AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, working experience of multiple AWS/GCP services
• Hands on experience on CloudFormation and Terraform
• Strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline (GitHub, Bitbucket, CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production systems
• Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
• Scripting capability and the ability to develop AWS environments as code
• Experience with core GCP platform architecture, including areas such as: Organizations, Account Design, SCP, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies.
• Familiar with Encryption, Logging, and Privacy/Security Protocols (e.g. TLS 1.2, ELK stack)
• Develop, coordinate, and administrate AWS infrastructure
• Automate deployments, infrastructure as code
• Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platforms
• Knowledge of DevOps, SecOps and incident management functions and their roles in IT security.
• Exposure on FinOps implementation using well architected framework
• Exposure to Network architecture will be an added advantage

Nice to have skills:
• Have containerization, (Kubernetes, Docker) troubleshooting and support tasks
• Ensure security components are managed and compliance is maintained throughout their lifecycle i.e. protection profiles, security groups, implementation of all resources following security guideline
• The position requires strong leadership and team building skills, and must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals.
• Experience as a Architect or lead preferred
• Experience with enterprise public cloud implementations
• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
• Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture
• Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
• Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Cloud Architect is responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms.
• The Senior Cloud Architect would be embedded into the Cloud-DevOps effort to provide architectural leadership and best practices.
• Additionally, the Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery.
What you bring to the team
Cloud Architecture and Design and Development (50%)
• Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)
• Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processes
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for end-to-end architecture, networking, provisioning, and management
• Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the "why," and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation
• Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
• Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
• Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks
• Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications
Consultation (20%)
• Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment
• Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements
• Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners
• Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk
• Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations
Thought Leadership (20%)
• Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
• Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts
• Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems
Mentoring (10%)
• Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks
• Develop a cohesive team and ensure their continued success
• Lead the definition and development of cloud reference architecture and management systems
• Conduct product work reviews with team members
