The Category Manager will manage assigned categories, suppliers, and spend to meet customer needs.
She/He will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing sourcing strategies, as well as key initiatives with the aim to deliver cost effective, innovative solutions while mitigating any potential risks.
This role will require a deep understanding of procurement processes, supplier management and category management, in addition to the ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide good stakeholder management.
Develop and implement global category strategies for indirect procurement categories
Collaborate in cross-functional teams to execute category strategies and achieve savings targets
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities
Develop and implement supplier performance metrics and scorecards
Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
5+ years experience in the area of procurement, preferable with indirect materials
Experience working in a global environment and engaging with senior stakeholders
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Fluent in English, other languages are beneficial
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
