Description
In this role, you will be working collaboratively within the industry network leader (INL) segment, foster, educate, and own the development of service Go2Market INL Segment strategy. You will be also collaborating with INL Segment Manager lead, and the global segment community to support all service marketing and sales activities across the segment offering portfolio and ensure that Hitachi Energy Service substantially increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction for segment service offerings in the selected markets. You will also develop and implement a market-based strategy for segment sales.
Your Responsibilities
Define and implement all sales and marketing activities including but not limited to segment services
Develop, support, and implement a market-based approach which includes direct, third-party and project sales whilst building customer relationships with key stakeholders, to educate, inform and solicit support for pursuing segment service opportunities and converting them to orders.
Be the segment champion or consultant who helps customers (and INL Segment team and global segment community) to develop and execute segment strategies
Meet with customers to review the customers’ segment service strategies, compare the customers segment service strategies to “best practices” for similar companies, provide input to customer segment strategies, analyze the fit of the customers segment strategy to the Hitachi Energy segment solutions portfolio, and make recommendations to customers regarding their ongoing (segment) journey.
Establish a global segment service community and meet with a regular cadence to promote and achieve pipeline and orders, region-by-region alignment with the business units, and enthusiasm for rapid service orders growth in the segment
Develop, support, and implement a market-based approach which includes direct, third-party and project sales whilst building customer relationships with key stakeholders, to educate
Represent Hitachi Energy Service segment solutions across all Business Units and be knowledgeable about complementary segment offerings from other Hitachi companies like Hitachi Vantara and Global Logic
Educate, support, and act as liaison between Service Global Product Groups and INL segment team to develop a robust G2M strategy for now and in the future
Foster a data driven approach towards the customer via Hitachi Energy’s Standard Tools such as ServIS, salesforce, CoCs, etc.
Compliment Account management and Global Product Group Service sales by promoting and communication of best practices throughout service network
Develop a service segment strategy to meet market requirements
Ensure the value proposition for segment is developed and well communicated to all stakeholders
Identify and prioritize key accounts and give appropriate feedback on market developments and requirements, ensuring the achievement of sales volume and targets
Monitor appropriate prices and margins within the defined segment and support the sales team to negotiate key contracts
Build and maintain a strong relationship at senior levels with key customers, stakeholders and decision makers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Work closely with INL Segment Manager to enhance sales capability and help build a sustainable segment sales pipeline

Your Background
Management consulting background in service arena as opposed to an engineering background
Complemented by 10+ years’ experience in sales, account management within the energy sector
Track record of success in selling/negotiating strategic/complex customers facing projects
Very good understanding of Electricity / Energy Infrastructure type assets development process, and of their contractual and financial structure
Experience working for an Electricity Infrastructure developer preferred
Finely honed project management skills, in addition to a keen sense of initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness
Well-developed communication and organizational skills
Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
Approx. 20% willingness to travel on business assignments
Flexible with demonstrated experience in leading and managing change communications
