Mission statement:

This position is responsible for providing support to promote synergies and further momentum in the HE business, with a focus on digital communications work. Raise HE's brand awareness in Japan to contribute to HEJ's business, secure a competitive edge in recruitment, and increase employee engagement.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will implement changes in the Japanese external web and intranet, including updates, enhancements, migrations, etc., publish key external and internal communications as per content plan in our web platforms and manage the end-to-end translation and coordinate with local stakeholders if required.

  • You will keep content quality, develop SEO and take actions based on analytics to increase traffic and generate more leads, develop and implement local social media strategy and align local social media activities with key stakeholders, when necessary, work together with the global team for the localization or translation of global posts.

  • You will make sure the quality of the local social media content is good, with the right format for each of the channels., post locally (targeting Japan) in our Hitachi Energy LinkedIn and Hitachi Energy Facebook channels and propose relevant content also for the Hitachi, Ltd. channel for LinkedIn, Facebook etc.

  • You will develop and implement strategic internal communications plans for Hitachi Energy Japan, based on global communications and internal communications priorities, tailored to local employee needs, including integration of internal tools/channels as appropriate/feasible and support the preparation of regular internal communications for the Hitachi Power Grids BU in collaboration with Hitachi Energy Communications Manager and provide to Hitachi Energy Global for finalization with Executives.

  • You will support for town halls in Japan hosted by the local team or with international guests, also support effective leader & manager communications and plan & execute change communications as needed (to employees).

  • You will support Service communications as/if needed and support for a series of public relations activities such as creating press releases, Q&A, translation from English to Japanese, etc.

Your background:

  • You hold a university degree.

  • Require a strong interest and enthusiasm in actively distributing messages using the Web and social media.

  • Finely honed project management skills, in addition to a keen sense of initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness, well-developed communication and organizational skills, willingness to travel on business assignments.

  • A proactive willingness, mindset to try new things.

  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external partners at all levels.

  • Ability to leverage analytics to inform strategy, passion for innovation and bringing fresh ideas to the table.

  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for distilling down complex ideas into customer-friendly language.

  • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken / Full working proficiency in Japanese, both written and spoken.
