Mission statement:

Sell company products and improve customer’s experience on Hitachi Energy products in designated geographic area or customer segment in accordance with strategy. Develop and maintain new sales opportunities and customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer problems. Partner with Local other BL team members (also M&S functions) for assigned customers/products/area of business, and work with external agents and/or channel partners in order to maximize sales volume. For specified accounts and industrial segment, promote not only PGTR, but also other BL products and take the leading position as one focal point of contact to the customer and to supplying units and responsible for the order receive target for such specific customers.

Your responsibilities:

  • Identify customer’s issues/needs and propose best fits products/solutions from Hitachi Energy wide product portfolio especially from PGTR BU and drive customer’s continuous success.
  • You will understanding the strong point of Hitachi Energy PGTR products & system, to challenge the market into which don't step in yet, White Spots segment customers such as utilities/industries/OEMs in Japan.
  • Sells products and systems to customers, focusing on volume and profitability targets set for PGTR products and projects/initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains/improve effective customer relationships (from commercial to engineering/administrative functions) to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale.
  • Prepares sales plans using company tool (i.e. Salesforce). Performs regular status reviews/reports and create the plan(s) to achieve the goal. Should any issues to achieve the goal, proactive reporting and plan the action to recover is required.
  • Ensures the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals through effective product and solution presentations and negotiations. Communicates details in accordance with Hitachi-ABB Power Grids offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions) and set-up the strategic price to earn profit.
  • Manages administrative procedures in sales processes such as SFDC, Risk Review, Coordination among team members, etc. and project management activities.
  • Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

Your background:

  • You hold a college/University degree (Electrical Engineering background preferred).
  • Experience in Power Generation (Thermal, Hydro) and Transmission & Distribution.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with a track record in Power generation and Transmission & Distribution related sales.
  • Project execution and handling is a plus.
  • Business level English, ability to coordinate with overseas factories globally.
  • Customer and Market Orientation and Result Orientation.
  • Teamwork and bi-directional collaboration within Hitachi Energy and Hitachi Group.
  • Personal Leadership, create/find the solution of issues, facilitate the way forward to reach the solution.
  • Accountability of customer needs and influencing & motivate stakeholders inside and outside Hitachi Energy Japan.
  • Ability to formulate self-directed marketing and strategies.
