General Information:

Information on the position:

  • Permanent full-time position
  • $27,48/hr to $33,82/hr plus evening premiums of $0.80/hr or night premiums of $1.50/hr.
  • Evening shift from 3:15 pm to 11:30 pm Monday to Friday.
  • Night shift from 11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Sunday to Thursday (36.25 hours worked - paid 40h).

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Production Worker is responsible for meeting operational requirements while complying with quality, environmental and health & safety standards. The day worker is responsible for carrying out various tasks in the manufacture of distribution transformers.

Responsabilities:

  • Perform handling, lifting, assembly, erection, and packaging operations of products.
  • Interpret general assembly plans, schematic drawings, and production work instructions.
  • Carry out validations and measurements to provide a high-quality product.
  • Complete work orders, check sheets and inspection documents as required.
  • Ensure basic maintenance of work equipment and keep the work area clean and tidy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, vocational diploma or any combination of relevant experience.
  • One (1) year of work experience in the manufacturing/industrial sector (an asset).
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work standing up for long periods.
  • Interpretation of plans and drawings (an asset).
  • Experience with an overhead crane (an asset).
  • Functional French and basic mathematical skills.
  • Available to work evening or night shifts.
  • Occasional weekend availability (an asset).
