Description

Your responsibilities:

  • A successful candidate will be part of an R&D Team specialized in the Technology development of Power Transformers.
  • You will drive for product cost-out activities through appropriate design actions on Transformers.
  • You will be possessing knowledge of Chinese and International Standards & Codes – GB, IEC, IEEE, DIN, ISO for electrical design-related aspects of power transformers and shunt reactors.
  • You will be developing new ideas for transformer designs based on technology requirements and focused on the regional needs.
  • You will work on standardizing schematics and supports R&D / manufacturing engineering projects.
  • You will be running verifications using 3D simulation tools (Dielectric/Electromagnetic/Thermal) to simulate different behaviors of the power transformers.
  • You will become local technical reference for Troubleshooting, Analyzing failures.
  • You will be documenting all activities, data, and information in line with procedures.

Your background:

  • You hold a master’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing HVAC large power transformers up to 800kV.
  • Experience in using commercial simulation tools (dielectric, magnetic, and/or thermal).
  • Willingness to learn and try new things and collaborate with others to achieve great results.
  • Experience in Research and Development activities related to power transformers and preferably have experience in designing and conducting experiments.
  • Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards related to power transformers.
  • Responsible team player with a structured and result-oriented work approach.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Design, 3D Modelling, CREO application is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel.
