Description

We are looking for drafting specialist that will design the mechanical structure and product components of a functional system as part of a broader engineering solution. This role will be based in Zaragoza where Hitachi Energy has a factory focused on Dry Transformers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As a drafting specialist, you will dimension dry transformers mechanically; based on the customer specification, international standards, and factory requirements.

  • Since each transformer is tailor made to suit customer needs, you will work closely with sales, project management and electrical designers when developing an optimal technical solution.

  • Provide quality and timely 3D and 2D documentation for manufacturing and suppliers.

  • Provide technical documentation and instructions to our customer when the project required it.

  • Research ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, using CAD/CAE software during the conceptual design process

  • Support other areas within operations during manufacturing stages.

  • Participate in product-related continuous improvement activities and cost-out initiatives.

  • Consult with other engineering groups to ensure the application of the official technical standards from Hitachi Energy and best practices across the factories.

Your Background:

  • Certificate of Higher Education related to product design or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Around 2 years of experience in design and execution.

  • Previous experience and knowledge in CREO PTC 3D modeling system, or similar software.

  • Strong attitude for using basic computer applications (e.g. MS-Office).

  • Fluent Spanish, and B2 in English

  • Initiative, creativity and great attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of mechanical simulations will be considered a plus.
