Shift/s Available for this position:

E shift Monday through Thursday (Night shift)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs & coordinates installations, repairs and maintenance of equipment.
  • Responsible for day to day planning and oversight of maintenance technicians.
  • Expected to support technicians with technical repairs and at times do repairs themselves.
  • Performs safety STOP observations per current standards and ensures team accountability for all aspects of safety.
  • Works with other supervisors in all departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Responds to employee and customer inquiries and complaints—elevating them, as necessary, to managers.
  • Periodically checks the work progress of each maintenance employee. Provides immediate
  • assistance and instruction as needed.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Ensures the maintenance team is working in a safe manner and holds team members accountable.
  • Works with leadership in all departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates training for team members.
  • Completes timesheets 100% accurate and on time.
  • Manage team members overtime, points and PTO.
  • Escalate priority issues according to the BU escalation plan.                                               
  • Utilizes the Maintenance Management System to create work orders and execute PMs.
  • Evaluates Maintenance Technician’s skill level and provides support as necessary.
  • Creates work instructions for complex repairs.
  • Conducts daily meetings pertaining to ongoing machine down-time and previous shifts downtime.
  • Supports technical items for all Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
  • Responsible for Daily machine down-time reporting in the Maintenance System.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High School diploma is required; advanced vocational training beyond high school is preferred. At least 3 years prior Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills                               
  • Special skills required: Understanding of CNC, electronic/electrical, PLC Logic, Camera tuning, continual safety awareness, test equipment, schematics, mechanical, metric system, blueprint reading, measuring techniques, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Must have clear understanding of reading and interpreting blueprint and drawing.
  • Also understand drawing symbols.
  • Must have a good mechanical aptitude and understanding of how mechanical mechanism function.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Required to have the physical ability for all aspects of equipment maintenance to include standing, working in sometimes awkward positions and walking across a large campus for up to 12 hour shifts.  Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Combination of office and plant environment. Required to wear proper PPE such as, but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes and FR clothing while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas.
