About the Job

Hitachi Astemo Americas, Inc. Findlay, Ohio location is a Tier 1 supplier of brake systems for automotive and non-automotive applications. As the HR Assistant Manager you will report to the HR Manager and work with a team of HR professionals in a high-volume work environment.

• Payroll Processing-back up
• Benefit Management
• Code and track invoices and expenses for the HR department
• Contributes to team effort by cross training and helping wherever needed
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Support daily requests
• Work on Business improvements objectives outlined as personal business plans
• Recruitment of Hourly and Salary staff

• At least 3 years of experience in similar manufacturing role
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel
• Strong detail oriented and accuracy of work
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities and situations without a loss of effectiveness
• Ability to work in a small office
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Occasionally able to work outside of normal hours as needed to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independent with little supervision
• Experience leading/supervising a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business
• Automotive manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of ADP HRIS system

Experience working for a self-insured company
