Project Quality Engineer

Mission statement:

Plan, organize, lead, and monitor all quality work related to the project. Analyze and consider the quality demands of the contract to align them with Hitachi Energy project quality management system. Ensure support to the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager in all quality related matter in the project to archive project objectives and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities:

• You will prepare and participate to Project Internal and External Kick Off Meeting (KOM) to evaluating quality contractual obligations and any clarification/deviations to be discussed with the tendering and project team, develop, implement, and follow up the quality management system (QMS) for the project in the form of the Project Quality Plan (PQP), in addition to specific project specific quality document required.

• You will participate to Project Stage Gates when requested and support the project team in reviewing project applicable lessons learned, implement mitigate action plans, identify and recording new Lessons learned raised throughout the whole project execution.

• You will act as main point of contact and interface with the Customer on all Project Quality issues, drive Quality culture, Quality Assurance, Quality Control on the Project, prepare and participate in the internal Project Close-out meeting supporting all project stakeholders, if needed, in recording project Lessons Learned and including the findings in the project close-out report.

• You will initiate and/or follow up Project Quality audit as per Customer and Hitachi Energy requirements, support customer satisfaction process (TP-NPS) for the project and keep an overview of Cost of poor quality (COPQ), Project Budget Saving (PBS) and changes related to COPQ.

• You will ensure that the nonconformance management process is applied in the project, according to the PQP and HE instructions. Monitor project NCR, ensure processes are known, implement and follow in the project (NCR, CCRP) and drive / support resolutions.

• You will monitor Project Quality KPIs (i.e., NCR, CCRP, COPQ, Lesson Learned, and T-NPS,) and relating reporting, prepare the Quality input for the Project Review Meeting and participate

• You will ensure needed Site Quality Training are performed to all new HE employees site personnel, validate Quality Document before site mobilization: i.e., Site ITPs & ITRs, process and procedure for managing site inspections, NCR, preservation, storage, and preservation of equipment at site, punch list, and documentation handover to customer.

• You will participate to Site Sub-Contractor Kick-off Meeting when needed, for discussing quality points, validate the execution of the ITP during Civil Works, installation and commissioning checking (i.e., with Site Audits) that all Subcontractor inspections have been performed in accordance with the approved Site ITP.

• You will validate the Site Handover spot checking if the handover of the final documentation to customer is per-formed in accordance with contractual obligations and HE processes, if punch point lists, CCRP, NCR, TNPS, COPQ, PBS, audit reports are recorded and closed, and if applicable Quality documentation is archived and transferred to Services whenever applicable.

Your background:

• You hold bachelor’s degree (engineering or scientific master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in EPC Project Quality Management for large and complex organization (Power, Energy, Renewable, Oil and Gas sector preferred, 10 years’ experience preferred).

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards (lead-auditor certification preferred).

• General Knowledge of Project Management including Risk Management.

• Good knowledge of Suppliers and Site Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Master test Plan (MTP), Inspections, test procedures, punch list, mechanical completion, Lessons Learned, COPQ, T-NPS processes.

• Good knowledge of 8D problem-solving tool, RCA, PDCA, 5W, L6S, FMEA and other quality methodologies.

• Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings is preferred.

• Knowledge of Salesforce & customer feedback and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (knowledge of other languages would be a plus).
