As member of the global Hitachi Rail group, you may be offered to take part in global projects and to team-up with colleagues from around the world.

Accountabilities:

  • Planning of the homologation process for control and safety technology, in particular digital interlockings and ETCS and documentation in a homologation plan, for this purpose
  • Familiarization with the technical architecture of the homologation objects
  • Analysis of applicable regulations, laws, directives of the Federal Railway Authority, contractual requirements of customers
  • Identification of relevant stakeholders along the process
  • Assignment of roles that are on behalf of Hitachi (e.g. of assessors)
  • Coordination / establishing consensus with other stakeholders (e.g. with stakeholders on the customer side or the Federal Railway Authority)
  • Implementation of the homologation plan
  • Supporting the RAMS project manager in the implementation and monitoring of the most important CENELEC standards for the development of safety-relevant control and safety technology (EN 50126, 50128, 50129, 50159)
  • Support of the entire project team in the project implementation, taking into account the homologation processes (e.g. schedule, required documentation,...)
  • Submission of applications to the operator and the authority
  • Representation of your homologation strategy in project meetings, working groups and workshops with the customer and the Federal Railway Authority

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Passion for the rail system
  • Self-organization and prioritization
  • Analyzing and learning, independently and with others (colleagues, client, consultants)
  • Creativity: translating abstract concepts from regulation into practical projects / workstreams
  • Proofing: Prove conformity with the regulation
  • Communication and relationship management: convincing stakeholders of your strategy and taking them with you
  • Confident in handling MS Office

Education/Qualifications :​

  • University degree or comparable

Languages: 

  • English - Full professional proficiency is mandatory
  • German - Full professional proficiency is mandatory
