As the
One Hitachi Global Deal Desk Director, you will be at the helm of a team that is the driving force behind Hitachi Digital's go-to-market strategy. Your role will involve orchestrating deals, fostering internal and external collaborations, and ensuring the representation of appropriate Digital SMEs in the deal team. You will maintain a database of One Hitachi value proposition collateral and track digital opportunity pipelines. Your leadership will be pivotal in building strong relationships across the Hitachi Group companies and in identifying and overcoming roadblocks for the deal team. Your role is crucial in steering Hitachi towards its vision of a better tomorrow.
The team The Global Deal Desk team provide critical enablement support for the Hitachi Digital go-to-market team, which incorporates end-to-end solutions requiring multiple Hitachi entities to collaborate in support of our One Hitachi offering. The team drives deal identification, qualification and value creation through relationships and collaboration, both internally and externally, and through provision of collateral, deal orchestration and solutioning.
The role - Working closely with Hitachi sales teams across multiple digital entities to ensure the deal team has appropriate coverage and representation from the appropriate Digital SMEs
- Organizing One Hitachi deal teams to pursue incoming deals as well as proactive solution development
- Hosting a database of One Hitachi value proposition collateral to provide relevant case studies/ client references and previous solutions from similar precedents
- Tracking and publishing digital opportunity pipelines and new solutions under development, representing Hitachi Digital through high profile sales leadership and account team meetings
- Building and maintaining strong relationships at senior levels across the Hitachi Group companies
- Proactively identifying roadblocks for the deal team and escalating to the appropriate contacts
- Ensuring adherence to SLAs in respect of response times to queries and requests from internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Ensuring, in close cooperation with broader Hitachi sales organizations, that global account managers develop and maintain a digital sales target (i.e. revenue / profitability targets and account plans), alongside facilitating digital sales target-setting processes and producing scorecards / reports to support attainment reviews
What you'll bring - Significant experience in sales operations, deal creation and bid management within digital transformation, IoT, IT/OT convergence, AI, cloud computing, big data analytics, and related emerging technology solution sales, preferably selling into energy/ utilities/ railway sectors
- Proficient in sales process support and project management
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to influence, negotiate, and persuade
- Proven success in bringing together appropriate team members across an organization for pursuit of complex new opportunities
- People skills to drive internal collaboration at all levels in a global, complex organization
- Proficient in CRM systems such as Salesforce, data analytics tools, and sales enablement technologies
- Strong analytical skills; ability to collect, process, and organize large amounts of information effectively; attention to detail
